I had the opportunity at this wedding to spend most of the morning with the fellows as they got ready. Morgan and his groomsmen were great to be with on the morning of Morgan’s wedding. They were relaxed and enjoying themselves. Doing some of the rituals the fellows go through on wedding mornings- watching bit of football, drinking a bit of bourbon, and trying to figure out how those cufflinks worked. Waiting. Morgan’s dad and uncle were also there at the home that Morgan and Jen had been remodeling for the past couple years- a lovely home filled with heirlooms passed down from family on both sides.
At their ceremony Jen and Morgan planted a redbud tree, mixing soil from both family homes under its heart-shaped leaves. I love visualizing that redbud growing in the front yard of 628, becoming stronger and more lovely with each passing year of their marriage.
I had the privilege to photograph this wedding with Vidyuta Rangnekar (of Five by Five Photography and Design).
