Friends and family of Avery and Shilpa met one early-spring day for a pop-up wedding in a park in Louisville, Kentucky when the early flowers and catkins were flooding the fields near the creek with beauty.
These two soul-mates married under a spreading tree, in the presence of their community, and with a deeply meaningful ceremony.
During the toasts later one of their close friends said, “I want to thank you, because now the first wedding we’ve taken our kids to is an inter-racial same-sex wedding in Kentucky!”. There were heartfelt cheers for that toast, and I joined in, too. :)
Here’s to you two!
